Wihnemne School
is seeking a caring, energetic, and student-focused
K4 (Kindergarten) Teacher
to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early learning, relationship-building, and creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment for our youngest learners. Our K4 students attend school 5 days a week, full days.

Wihnemne School is a Kindergarten to Grade 9 school committed to supporting the academic, social, emotional, and cultural growth of every student. We value strong relationships, structured learning environments, and a team approach to supporting student success.
Qualifications:
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
Strong understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning
Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices
Ability to create structured routines and positive classroom environments
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
Ability to work collaboratively with educational assistants, families, and school staff
Knowledge of Indigenous perspectives and culturally responsive teaching practices is considered an asset
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate programming for K4 students
Support literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, and school readiness skills
Create a calm, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Use assessment to guide instruction and support student growth
Maintain positive communication with families and caregivers
Collaborate with school staff to support student success and well-being
