Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Junior High Teacher at Clover Bar Junior High. This position will include a variety of courses in junior high Math, Social Studies, PEW and Sport for Life. This position will also include shared time for curriculum lead work in math with the new curriculum. Physical Literacy Level 1 certification and a Class 2 Driver's License would be an asset for the Sport for Life program.
Clover Bar Junior
High serves approximately 485 students in grades 7 to 9, with 23 teaching staff
and 11 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.
Clover Bar Junior High staff work hard to help
students become the best they can be, providing opportunities to be engaged in
their learning as well as involved in a variety of extracurricular activities
such as art, band, drama, construction, foods, team sports and social activities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education degree
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Effective organization and classroom management skills
Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged
Excellent verbal and written skills
Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
