About Us
UrbanEdge is the dedicated architectural division responsible for managing all in-house projects for Rockport Investment Group. Our team is committed to delivering innovative design solutions that align with Rockports vision, ensuring excellence in every aspect of our projects.
Position Overview
As a Junior Architect, you will collaborate directly with our Principal Architect and Architectural Technician to bring property developments from concept to reality. This role provides an excellent opportunity for emerging professionals to develop design, technical, and project management skills while contributing directly to impactful, real-world developments.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting:
Assist in preparing detailed architectural designs, construction documents, and presentation drawings.
Modeling:
Support the design team by creating 3D building models and high-quality visualizations using Revit.
Research:
Conduct site analyses and research local zoning bylaws, building codes, and industry standards.
Design:
Participate actively in team design reviews and collaborative brainstorming sessions for new projects.
Proposals:
Help compile and organize design documentation for project proposals and municipal submissions.
Site Visits:
Attend construction site visits to observe progress and ensure compliance with design intent.
Coordination:
Participate in project coordination meetings with internal team members, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Architecture from an accredited university program.
Software:
Strong proficiency with architectural design software, specifically Revit and AutoCAD.
Knowledge:
Foundational understanding of property development phases, architectural principles, and building systems.
Communication:
Clear verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment.
Organization:
High attention to detail with strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks.
Attitude:
Proactive, eager to learn, and highly adaptable to a fast-paced corporate environment
