As one of Canada's most successful retail organizations, we're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our Platform Services team.
In this role, you'll provide technical leadership and advanced support for the Microsoft technologies and enterprise systems that power our retail stores, corporate offices, distribution centres, and business operations. You'll work with modern cloud, identity, endpoint, and infrastructure technologies while helping shape the future direction of our platform services environment.
This role offers the opportunity to lead enterprise technology initiatives, mentor technical teams, and influence the future direction of London's Microsoft 365, identity, and cloud platform environment.

Work Arrangement: Full Time in office to start while onboarding, then hybrid (60% onsite, 40% remote)
What You'll Do
Manage and enhance enterprise Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
Support enterprise identity, endpoint management, collaboration, and cloud platforms used across stores, offices, and distribution centres.
Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and application-related issues.
Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations while driving improvements in system performance, security, reliability, and user experience.
Design and implement technology solutions that improve security, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency across the organization.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to Systems Administrators, Service Desk teams, and other IT professionals.
Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Security, Desktop Support, Applications, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions.
Play a key role in cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, Microsoft platform enhancements, and enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, architecture documentation, and knowledge resources.
Participate in incident, change, problem, and service management processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Support scheduled maintenance activities and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise IT infrastructure within a medium-to-large organization.
Strong experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Windows Server, and related cloud technologies.
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex enterprise environments.
Proven ability to act as a senior technical escalation resource for complex infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and application-related issues.
Experience mentoring, coaching, or providing technical leadership to administrators, analysts, or support teams.
Experience leading infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, system implementations, or technology modernization initiatives.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
Experience working within IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, including incident, request, change, and problem management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
A customer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Technical Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with several of the following technologies:
Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online
Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Identity Governance
Microsoft Intune, endpoint lifecycle management, device compliance, application deployment, and device management
Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
PowerShell scripting, automation, and operational process improvement
DNS, DHCP, certificates, backup and recovery, virtualization, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts
Enterprise application support, monitoring solutions, and vendor management
SQL Server administration or database platform support
File services, print services, IIS, and Windows infrastructure technologies
ITSM platforms, ticketing systems, workflow tools, and technical documentation platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in any of the following areas would be considered an asset:
Identity and Access Management (IAM) engineering, Single Sign-On (SSO), identity integrations, access governance, or privileged access management
Windows Autopilot, endpoint compliance, security baselines, application packaging, or modern endpoint management
Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365 Compliance, or security administration
Microsoft 365, Entra ID, or identity solution design and implementation
Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other enterprise business applications
VMware, Veeam, backup technologies, virtualization platforms, or related infrastructure services
Enterprise migrations, cloud transformation initiatives, or infrastructure modernization projects
ServiceNow, Jira, or similar IT service management platforms
Retail, healthcare, pharmacy, distribution, or other multi-site operating environments
Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-700, SC-300, MD-102, Azure certifications, or equivalent experience
