Salary: $69,953 - $87,442

The Infection Prevention and Control Lead is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents through the strong leadership and motivation of Sienna team members.
As an Infection Prevention and Control Lead your typical day will impact the following ways:
Participating in the planning, development, organization, implementation and evaluation of Sienna infection prevention and control program.
Proactive prevention of dangerous infectious agents such as viruses and bacteria, outbreaks and epidemics.
Implementing prevention strategies including education/consultation for front line team members.
Performing infection prevention and control surveillance, collection and implementation of best practices and data analysis.
Identifying trends/patterns and managing investigations of infections.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must haves:
Sound knowledge of applicable provincial regulations and standards for Ontario.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in geriatrics in a clinical health setting.
Completion of Basic Infection Prevention and Control Courses or willingness to obtain in a timeframe identified.
Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (CIC) or Associate Infection Prevention and Control Certification (A-IPC) – or willingness to obtain within a timeframe identified.
Fluent in English.
Advanced computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel).
All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
Experience in Infection Control an asset.
Experience and/or training in Principles of adult education is an asset.
