As the Division’s International Recruitment Administrator, you will support the International Recruitment Unit in the administrative, financial and communications functions of the unit. You will work with international students and partners. The position is busy, varied and the rewards are endless. UVic offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits package, professional development opportunities and much more. *This position is eligible for a hybrid flex arrangement* Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, International Recruitment, the International Recruitment Administrator (Administrator) is an important member of the International Recruitment (IR) unit The administrator supports the administrative, financial and communications functions for the IR unit. Responsibilities include agent management, tracking and shipping recruitment materials, general office duties and administration. Due to the diversity of the IR unit, the Administrator must work independently and possess an excellent understanding of the Division and its programs and policies and procedures, particularly when working with international students. This position is fast paced, challenging and requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to three years’ experience working within a comparable environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment. Ability to manage multiple and shifting demands and deadlines. Experience composing various business communications such as emails, memos and reports. Experience scheduling meetings and calendar coordination. Experience in maintaining confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency with computer applications (i.e., MS-Office Suite, Adobe Create Suite, content management systems). Specialized Knowledge/Education Knowledge of UVic systems, including OASIS, Brightspace is an asset. Preferred skills and abilities Fluency in a second language, preferably Mandarin, Korean or Portuguese. Working in an international educational environment, providing international student support.
