Through a skilled team of experts, we offer end-to-end design services, encompassing programming, concept & envisioning, brand ideation, interior design, FF&E selection, procurement and coordination, and art and styling services. ROLE Ste Marie Art + Design is hiring an Intern with a strong drive to learn, immerse themselves in a studio environment, and develop their design skills in a real-world environment. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, self-motivated, and adaptable. Strong verbal and technical communication is key. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with daily office administration: answering phones, shipping/receiving, and maintaining organization Help coordinate events, celebrations, and office culture initiatives Maintain and organize the sample library, including samples, sample boxes, and grunge boards Support the design team in executing presentations, specification schedules, and design documentation Contribute to design development through 3D modeling, renderings, mood boards, CAD drawings, material sourcing, and presentation assembly Assist with accurate specifications and schedules under guidance Support FF&E selection and styling, including sourcing, vendor coordination, and on-site styling Help organize and maintain project databases, including image libraries Participate in site visits, vendor meetings, and team reviews when appropriate Communicate workload, priorities, and support needs proactively Represent the studio professionally with clients, vendors, and collaborators Be open to mentorship and learning across all phases of the design process QUALIFICATIONS Currently enrolled in an Interior Design, Building Technology, or Architecture program Valid drivers license required; personal vehicle is an asset Experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and M365 Enscape, Fohlio, and Revit experience are assets Basic understanding of kitchen and bath design, and millwork detailing Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications Detail-oriented, fast learner, and thrives in fast-paced settings Strong team player with ability to take direction effectively Design passion supported by a strong creative and technical portfolio Open, flexible mindset with a commitment to learning and growth ROLE INFORMATION This description reflects the core activities of the role but is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties may be required from time to time.
