Reporting to the Manager, Finance, we are currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant with 3-5 years of financial accounting experience to join the Corporate Accounting team. In this role, the successful candidate will assist in the preparation of financial entries and in-depth analysis of the general ledger accounts supporting the financial statements of CI Investments and subsidiaries/affiliates.

JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, we are currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant with 3-5 years of financial accounting experience to join the Corporate Accounting team. In this role, the successful candidate will assist in the preparation of financial entries and in-depth analysis of the general ledger accounts supporting the financial statements of CI Investments and subsidiaries/affiliates.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assist in the month end close process by preparing and recording journal entries
Primary contact with portfolio operations for the processing of management fees and the calculation of expense recoveries from the funds
Reconciling and preparation of working papers to support general ledger balances
Analysis of monthly trends in expenses
Support cash management by assisting with the processing of wires
Assist with annual audits by providing supporting documents
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
At least 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience
Investment/Mutual fund industry experience preferred
Post-secondary education in Finance/Accounting
Working towards a CPA designation preferred
Ability to prioritize effectively and work efficiently to meet monthly reporting deadlines
Detailed-oriented, extremely self-motivated and dedicated, and a good team player
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision / direction
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with MS Office applications with a focus on Excel
Experience with general ledger system an asset
