Free on‑site parking Position Summary The In‑House Senior Litigation & Legal Counsel will be a dynamic and results‑oriented, responsible for: Representing OZ Optics in Civil cases. Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings and discovery, to pre‑trial settlement and appeal Developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the company's interests. Overseeing corporate governance and ensuring adherence to corporate policies. Overseeing corporate governance and ensuring adherence to corporate policies. Developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the company's interests. Typical Duties Managing Litigation and coordinating with external legal counsel as needed. Conducting legal research and staying updated on changes in laws that may affect the company. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents. Preparing paperwork for court. Providing legal advice and guidance to the executive team and other company departments. Education and Other Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Canadian law school. Admission to the bar and in good standing. Experience Minimum 10+ years of Litigation experience is required Skills Excellent organizational skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word. Excellent command of English, both verbal and written. Strong background in Litigation, corporate law, contract law, and compliance. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
