In-house Lawyer at Grant Thornton — NeverHard

We are looking for a qualified In-house Lawyer to support the firm's legal and regulatory matters within the financial and corporate sectors. Responsibilities: Providing legal support for the firm’s operations; Communicating and coordinating with regulators and government authorities; Supporting licensing and regulatory compliance matters (Chamber of Auditor of RK, KASE, AIFC, Canadian Accountability Board and others); Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and internal documents; Advising management and employees on legal matters; Participating in audits, inspections, legal cases when necessary and preparation of responses to regulatory inquiries. Requirements: Higher legal education degree; Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience; Experience in the audit firm and/or financial industry is highly preferred; Experience interacting with regulatory and governmental authorities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including: Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan; National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market; Experience in drafting legal opinions, agreements, policies, and official correspondence; Strong knowledge of corporate, financial, labor, and administrative law of Kazakhstan; Experience working with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) regulator (AFSA) will be considered an advantage; Strong knowledge of corporate, financial, labor, and administrative law of Kazakhstan; English language proficiency is preferred; Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with regulatory documentation.
