The successful candidate will assist in maintaining, upgrade, troubleshooting, and repair various HVAC/R equipment and systems. ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician Apprentice at our location in Dieppe NB. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining, upgrade, troubleshooting, and repair various HVAC/R equipment and systems. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC/R equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications. Complete digital work orders, detailed reports and daily digital time summaries. Ensure safe working conditions are adhered to in accordance to company policy. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communicates Effectively Customer Focus Problem Solving and Innovation Teamwork and Collaboration Values and Respects Others WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS College diploma in a refrigeration or gas technician program 1st block apprentice exam minimum or equivalent SKILLS, ABILITIES , AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid Class 5 driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Security Clearance, as well as other site specific clearances. Experience using mobile technologies would be an asset. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to read or learn to read and work from HVAC, mechanical schematics, electrical schematics, line drawings, etc. Mechanical ability and problem solving skills. Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and the ability to meet deadlines. This position is mainly from Dieppe but regional travel is expected. #LI-MN2
