Rooted in collaboration, compassion, and service, our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead their People & Culture function and support a small, high-performing HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR leader who thrives in purpose-driven environments and enjoys balancing both strategic leadership and day-to-day HR support. About the Opportunity Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Manager will play a key leadership role in shaping and executing the organization’s People & Culture strategy while remaining actively involved in operational HR delivery. This role oversees a small team of HR Generalists and HR Administrators, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure consistent and effective HR service across the organization. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to leadership, contributing to organizational planning, culture development, and employee experience initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead and implement the organization’s People & Culture strategy in alignment with mission and values Provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding Lead, coach, and support a small HR team, fostering collaboration and professional growth Partner with the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, organizational development, and culture initiatives Oversee HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment legislation Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and retention initiatives Manage employee relations matters with professionalism, fairness, and discretion Continuously improve HR systems, processes, and reporting to enhance organizational effectiveness Requirements: Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, along with a CPHR designation (or working toward completion) 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or senior HR generalist experience Experience in non-profit or mission-driven environments is considered a strong asset A strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on HR execution Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop HR team members Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative approach Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, people-focused environment Rewards: Annual compensation of $75,000 - $85,000, based on qualifications Comprehensive benefits package and RSP-match A collaborative, values-driven culture where teamwork is at the core If this sounds like the right next step in your HR leadership career, we would welcome the opportunity to connect and share more about this organization and role.
