Human Resources Generalist
As an HR Generalist in our dynamic tech company, you will play a pivotal role in delivering responsive, hands-on support across the employee lifecycle. You’ll partner closely with managers and employees to build a thriving culture, drive operational excellence in HR programs, and ensure compliance and best practices in all areas of human resources. From onboarding and talent acquisition to employee relations and performance development, you will help shape a positive employee experience that supports growth and innovation.

What You'll Do
People Programs & Policy
Support the development, rollout, and administration of HR policies, programs, and practices aligned to a fast-scaling tech environment.
Provide coaching to employees and managers on HR policies, employee engagement, and performance challenges.
Employee Experience & Culture
Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR questions and support needs.
Foster a transparent, inclusive, and feedback-driven workplace culture.
Contribute to employee engagement efforts, recognition programs, and culture-building initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Serve as a backup to the Talent Acquisition Specialist by assisting with end-to-end recruitment efforts, including job postings, screenings, and interviews in collaboration with hiring managers.
Support the delivery of an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring early engagement and clarity on role expectations.
Off-Boarding
Oversee the off-boarding process, from conducting exit interviews to facilitating a smooth departure for employees.
Performance & Development
Assist with the administration of performance reviews, goal setting, and feedback cycles.
Track employee development plans and support learning opportunities and training logistics.
HR Operations & Compliance
Drafting and sharing of company-wide communications via Slack & email.
Maintain HR records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal procedures, and industry standards.
Reporting & Insights
Generate HR reports and metrics.
Identify and share insights to inform decisions on workforce planning, retention, and employee satisfaction.
Special Projects
In support of the above areas, assisting with special projects for continuous improvement to our employee experience and HR service.
Requirements
What You'll Bring
Education (preferred):
Bachelor's degree or certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Professional / Technical Knowledge:
3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a tech or high-growth company.
Working knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
Experience with HRIS and ATS systems (e.g., BambooHR).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
CPHR designation or working toward certification is considered an asset.
Ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.
Proficiency with Google platform.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is
$70,000-$85,000 CAD
. (Final placement within the range is at the discretion of the hiring manager, based on relevant experience).
