Reporting to the Team Lead and Coordinator of Employee Relations and Staffing, the Human Resources Administrator will assist with the administration of the staffing and employee relations functions. Job Description: Assist with the coordinating and staffing of vacancies and transfers while identifying process improvements to attract high-performing, diverse talent Prepare hire letters and comprehensive interview packages, ensuring all documentation aligns with legislative requirements and the organization’s EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) framework Execute the administration of the full recruitment lifecycle, including drafting and posting opportunities across diverse platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Apply to Education), screening applications, and managing interview logistics Assist in the administration of performance appraisal processes and the ongoing development of performance management systems across all employee groups. Participating in the interview process as required Ensure all employment opportunities and postings are distributed in strict accordance with collective agreements, legislation, and organizational deadlines Represent the organization and coordinate participation in job fairs and external recruitment events Assisting HR team in liaising with federal and provincial agencies (ie., Employment and Immigration Canada, Ministry of Education, College of Teachers, etc.) Act as a first point of contact for School Board leaders and employees regarding HR staffing and employee relations service delivery Maintain recruitment trackers, monitor closing dates, and prepare detailed spreadsheets and HR reports as required Support general employee relations initiatives and assist with the interpretation and compliance of Collective Agreements and other employment contracts Participate in strategic meetings and execute follow-up actions to ensure departmental goals are met Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor Required Qualifications: College Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent post secondary education 3 years of relevant human resources experience Proficiency with the Google suite of applications, spreadsheets, databases and other HRIS software programs Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Ontario Labour Relations Act, OHSA, and Service Canada Programs Demonstrate a high degree of management, conflict resolution and customer service skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills A high degree of initiative and ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision is required In addition, the following will be considered an asset: Human Resources designation Experience delivering presentations and speaking to groups Previous school board experience This is a full-time, permanent position with an annual salary range of $71,312 - $80,595.
