HSS/Carbide Operator at Peak Toolworks — NeverHard

An HSS operator sets up profiling grinders to evaluate, modify, sharpen, and inspect cutting tools according to established compliance standards. For this position, the candidate must ideally possess the following skills: Main Duties: Know how to operate profiling grinders and others types; facing, cutter & grinder, Wagner, and Göckel. Read and interpret reading plans and technical drawings. Prepare setups based on the type of tooling. Modify, sharpen, and reprofile carbide, high-speed steel, and tantung tools. Evaluate and identify appropriate repairs. Sharpen HSS tools and cutters. Inspect and ensure standard compliance. Perform preventive maintenance on grinders. Perform any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor. Prerequisites: Good knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and manual dexterity. Good computer skills. Good command of measuring instruments. Conscientious, resourceful, and attention to detail and precision. Conditions: Unionized position, full-time Diploma: DEP in machining or similar, an asset
