As a HSE Coordinator for PCL Industrial Management Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Ind Mgmt), you'll have the opportunity to monitor and advise field activity compliance with multiple safety management systems (SMS) and legislative regulatory requirements. Our offerings could include: Flexible medical, dental and vision benefits Prescription drug coverage and virtual care services Life, AD&D and disability insurance Mental health and wellness support, including Employee Assistance Programs Career growth pathways, leadership development and mentorship programs Access to world-class training through PCL's College of Construction and professional development courses Ongoing opportunities to learn new skills, explore different roles and grow your career across sectors and regions Here's how a HSE Coordinator for PCL Industrial Management Inc. within Edmonton Industrial Management contributes to our team: Responsibilities Assisting in conducting and identifying when project-specific training is required, which may include weekly training topics, hazard specific training, and the HSE Operating Procedure (HSEOP) Participating in and providing information for HSE meetings Providing project team with project-specific information and statistics to develop trends and assisting with the creation of trend action plans Assisting with the development and implementation of Hazard ID tools (e.g., Construction Hazard Assessment (CHA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Pre-job Safety Instruction (PSI)) Conducting and documenting project HSE inspections Verifying that corrective actions are implemented Identifying and monitoring appropriate site PPE Assisting project management and supervision with the implementation and monitoring of the emergency response plan, project security requirements, and environmental plan Gathering, reviewing, and providing input on trade documentation Monitoring trade contractor safety compliance Notifying project management and direct supervision of any incident and assisting with the investigation Assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and support of the project’s HSE Plan, HSEOPs, safe work practices, and any other HSE-related practices. Qualifications • Postsecondary diploma or degree in OH&S is considered an asset • Safety designation such as NCSO, CRSP, or CHST are considered an asset • 2 years’ experience in a related industry with direct experience in HSE • Knowledge of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation • Ability to implement HSE processes • Demonstrated ability to influence project teams regarding HSE responsibility • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts with craft workers • Effective communication and presentation skills • Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology Your Work Has Purpose Here PCL projects are where life happens, where communities connect, careers begin, and progress is made.
