JOB SUMMARY The Housing intern will participate in a variety of housing-related positions, including administrative, maintenance, construction/renovation, and client service roles. The position operates across key functional areas such as housing administration, construction, maintenance, financial management, tenant relations, apprenticeship programs, and lands management. Additional responsibilities include providing mentorship and support to interns to foster skill development and career readiness. Areas include: Housing administration/management Housing Construction/renovation Housing maintenance Financial management Tenant relations Trades apprenticeship program Lands management QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must be/have: High school diploma Post-Secondary Education in Business or Engineering. Strong attention to detail and logical reasoning. Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks. Experience working with Indigenous and/or northern communities is considered an asset. Priority consideration is given to beneficiaries of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (IFA) please identify in your application if you are a beneficiary of the IFA. The position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search. Preference may be given to candidates with the following: Post-Secondary education in a related field, preferably Business Administration and Engineering is preferred. Experience leading a team is an asset. Experience in housing, construction, or program coordination is an asset. Strong organizational skills.
