Overview Northumberland Hills Hospital is currently seeking a Hospitalist to grow and enhance an established Hospitalist program. The ideal candidate will join a dedicated team comprised of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. We are a medium‑sized hospital with close to 40,000 ED visits per year and a robust community and multidisciplinary team that is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care through our “People First” philosophy. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with local General Practitioners, Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and Allied Health professionals using a blended model for hospital-based care. Participate in the call schedule for the Hospitalist Program (e.g., seven-day block / q. monthly). Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives, enhancing the delivery of care within the acute and post-acute departments. Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for medical patients. Qualifications Certification with the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) Registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained Strong communication and interprofessional skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
