CSE is seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our heavy fabrication and machining client. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of production and custom fabrication projects while collaborating with a highly experienced and dedicated team. Position – Welder/FitterJob Type – Temp to PermShift – Steady DaysWage - $20.00 – $32.00/hrResponsibilities Select appropriate welding equipment and plan welding sequences to ensure safe and efficient operations. Prepare and shape materials through grinding, beveling, cleaning, and cutting processes to meet fabrication requirements. Perform welding according to customer specifications, ensuring proper weld size and quality standards. Inspect welds, identify defects, carry out repairs, and conduct root cause analysis on non-conformances. Interpret drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T standards while accurately fitting, aligning, and securing components for fabrication. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a welding/fitting apprenticeship and Ontario trade certification is an asset. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, weld defects, GD&T, and drawings in both first- and third-angle projection. Solid mathematical skills applicable to welding and fitting operations. Effective team player with strong organizational skills and legal authorization to work in Canada.
