Job DescriptionJob Description COMPANY PROFILE Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services. POSITION SUMMARY A Heavy Equipment Operator is involved in the operation of various pieces of equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and graders. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding. Anticipated Start Date: May, 2026 Location: CNRL, Fort McMurray, AB Shift: 7/7 or 14/14 Hourly Rate: $43.62-$52.00 JOB DUTIES Comply with Primoris Canada and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards Operate various pieces of equipment, including but not limited to: dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, bobcats, and zoom booms Move materials/equipment and dirt Load/unload materials Assist in demolition work Excavate trenches Complete pre-job equipment inspections Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings Other tasks as required QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Must be in possession of a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized Must be in possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL) Must have previous experience operating equipment on an industrial work site Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset CSO Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is a condition of employment BENEFITS Retirement Savings Plan Health and Dental Employee & Family Assistance Program Prescription Safety Glasses Reimbursement Program $1250 PAPR welding helmet reimbursement after 1000hrs Coveralls and winter jacket/bibs provided (conditions apply) We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those candidates chosen for further review will be contacted.
