We are currently hiring a Field Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to work with our customers in the Estevan area. Wage: $42.62 - $51.57 base wage $5.00 Field premium Paid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation, sick and 7 days flex time 5.75% Employer paid pension, plus up to 1% additional 6% voluntary Employee Share Purchase, earns 2% Finning match 100% Employer paid medical benefits CAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning Job Description Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in either a shop or field environment (possibility of remote locations) Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment Specific Skills & Experience Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification or Agriculture Equipment Technician Certification Valid class 5 drivers license with a successful driver's abstract Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems Engine and/or component rebuilding experience Transmission or Hydraulic testing knowledge Previous gas engine and power generation experience is an asset Previous customer experience would be considered an asset Important Details This position is based out of Estevan, on a Monday - Friday schedule, but some travel may be required A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable Alternative Journeyperson Certifications will be considered At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
