Project Manager (Heavy Civil)
Location: London ON
Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 (based on experience)

The Opportunity:
We have joined forces with one of Southwestern Ontario's premier civil construction companies to add an experienced Project Manager to their organization due to expanded growth. The Project Manager will take ownership of planning, executing, and closing out large-scale infrastructure projects across the region and the Province of Ontario.
This position is suited for an experienced outside the box thinking Project Manager who thrives on challenge and has a passion for working with high-performing teams.
What Your Day Looks Like:
Take end-to-end ownership of projects from award to close-out.
Manage all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and billing.
Lead project planning and scheduling, including developing scope and timelines.
Identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays in critical timelines and budgets.
Champion change management, related to scope, schedule and cost, ensuring proper documentation outcomes.
Prepare costing and manage expenses, estimates and vendor agreements and sub trade selection.
Manage all aspects related to daily production, production issues, extra claims management and related time and material cost management.
Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution, often taking the lead on solving these problems.
Act as the primary point of contact for the project, including the management of existing client relationships. Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members or external consultants
.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
What You Bring:
5-10+ years of progressive construction experience delivering complex projects from conception to close-out (road, bridges, earthworks, water & sewer).
Post Secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
Strong experience with project control and financial management.
Expertise in project scheduling tools and contract documentation.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
PMP Certification is an asset.
