New Horizon Co-op is hiring aHealth, Safety and Sustainability Coordinatorat our Resource Office in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

What youll do:
Provide administrative support to the Health & Safety department, including document preparation, data entry, scanning, and records management
Support Health & Safety projects, including the development and updating of resources, policies, procedures, and manuals
Coordinate and facilitate required health and safety training for employees and contractors (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, First Aid), and maintain accurate training records
Conduct health and safety orientations for new employees and contractors
Assist with the review and update of health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance
Monitor regulatory and legislative changes and support implementation of program updates as required
Assist with incident investigations, hazard identification, reporting, and corrective action tracking
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety programs
Perform additional duties as assigned

Who you are:
High School Diploma plus completion of a one-year certificate program in a related field
13 years of experience in a similar role or office environment
Valid Class 5 Alberta Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Health & Safety management systems
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills
Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong observation, incident response, and problem-solving skills
High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
