Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client partner covers the road safety sectoris a leading general contractor across Canada. They are currently hiring for a Health & Safety Coordinator/Officer for their operations with projects throughout the Sudbury region. Projects include working around civil and mining works. Duties Day-to-day coordination, both on-site and office based in a fast-paced business unit Maintain Safety Management System (SMS) databases, administer sub-contractor programs, support job sites with project safety plans. Train and coach junior coordinators regarding correct safety procedures and protocols Recording and maintenance of the incident statistical database. Coordinate Joint Health and Safety Committee functions at office location and actively participate on the Committee. Coordinate Health and Safety Training as required. Produce regular reports and documentation as required. Liaise closely with clients, inspectors and peers in regards to ongoing safety for projects Education and skill requirements Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (pursuing or completed) or sufficient credentials, NCSO or CRSP etc 3+ years of safety experience with a focus on site. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong ability to multitask Experience on construction sites would be beneficial $80,000 - $100,000 All applications will be reviewed by the consultant posting the job and NOT an ATS tracker.
