Our client is one of Canada's largest and fastest-growing networks of healthcare practices, and their continued expansion, including cross-border activity, is creating new complexity in how they manage tax. The company is a Canadian success story founded and has grown to over $2Bn in revenue and employs 10,000 people. The Head of Tax will lead both Canadian and U.S. tax functions, ensuring compliance, optimization of tax position, and provide support to the acquisitive growth strategy on both sides of the border. This position reports to the V.P. Finance and is located in the downtown core. The role is critical to the organization's long-term growth and offers a unique opportunity to shape the tax function of a leading business as it scales its operations in Canada and the United States. The role is a hands-on, high-impact role with broad scope across compliance, provision, planning, transfer pricing, and audit defence, all in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. The role requires both Canadian and U.S. tax experience at a leadership level within a public accounting firm or industry, or combination of both. Preferably a CPA, with/or having completed the CPA In-Depth Tax course, the successful candidate will have at least 10 years of innovative, quality-focused tax experience and is eager to be part of a rapidly growing company that enables the best to be even better.
