Location: 20 Bay Street, 11th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M5J 2N8, Canada.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales, product, and executive teams to identify customer requirements within Canada and global markets.
Conduct technical discovery sessions to gather business, regulatory, and integration requirements for consumer, enterprise, and IoT connectivity solutions.
Translate customer needs into technical specifications aligned with Telna’s platforms and Canadian market standards.
Architect scalable telecommunications and IoT solutions based on Telna’s global connectivity platform, including mobile core, roaming, eSIM/eUICC, APIs, billing, and provisioning systems.
Ensure designs comply with Canadian telecommunications requirements and industry frameworks (CRTC, GSMA, 3GPP).
Provide detailed architecture documentation including solution blueprints, integration flows, cloud deployment models, and performance considerations.
Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOW) documents, solution presentations, and cost models for Canadian and international customers.
Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with customer expectations.
Present complex telecommunications solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including enterprise executives and engineering teams.
Lead solution demonstrations, platform walkthroughs, and proof‑of‑concept engagements.
Address customer concerns by providing expert guidance grounded in telecommunications best practices, Canadian network requirements, and real‑world deployment experience.
Build strong relationships with customer technical teams, ensuring clarity of requirements and confidence in the proposed solution.
Work closely with engineering, product, operations, and network teams to validate feasibility, ensure solution alignment, and support implementation readiness.
Provide strategic feedback to product development based on Canadian customer needs, implementation challenges, and emerging trends.
Act as the escalation point for complex technical evaluations during the sales cycle.
Maintain in‑depth knowledge of Canadian telecommunications technologies, regulatory developments, and market trends including 5G, IoT, cloud‑native telecom, and MVNO/MVNE operations.
Produce white papers, case studies, and technical collateral highlighting Telna’s capabilities within North America.
Represent Telna as a subject‑matter expert at industry events, customer workshops, and partner engagements.
Mentor and develop presales engineers and solution consultants, establishing best practices and standards for proposal development and architecture governance.
Improve internal presales processes, documentation quality, and cross‑team communication frameworks.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Telecommunications is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of recent, relevant experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting in the telecommunications, cloud, or IoT sectors.
Strong understanding of US/Canadian/LATAM telecommunications networks, regulatory frameworks, and carrier ecosystem.
In‑depth knowledge of roaming, MVNO/MVNE architecture, IoT platforms, SIM/eSIM technologies, and cloud‑native networking.
Proven ability to architect solutions that meet complex customer requirements and integrate multiple telecom systems.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Demonstrated experience leading technical discussions with enterprise customers.
Experience preparing RFP/RFI responses and technical commercial proposals.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and the ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Familiarity with Canadian telecom standards, roaming regulations, and CRTC guidelines.
Experience with cloud‑native architectures (Kubernetes, VPP, NFV/SDN).
Experience as a senior presales leader or Head of Presales in a telecommunications organization.
Knowledge of API‑driven connectivity platforms and software development integrations.
Experience supporting customers across North America and international markets.
Salary
CAD $200,000.00 to CAD $210,000.00 per annum with a performance‑related bonus of up to 25% of the annual salary.
Hours
40 hours per week.
