Position Summary
Head of Operational Excellence for Global Quality, reporting to the Global Head Operational Excellence with a dotted line to the Global Head of Quality. Responsible for building and scaling a dedicated Operational Excellence function within the Global Quality unit, spearheading the transformation of operational capabilities, and accelerating the Quality Unites Us program.
Key Responsibilities
Lead rollout of Lean standards, identify measurable productivity and cost‑optimization initiatives, and embed the Lean Leadership program.
Champion and sustain a network‑wide training model to develop, certify, and mentor future Lean Practitioners.
Anchor all Operational Excellence activities to target behavioral shifts, design strategic roadmap, and establish a hub‑and‑spoke governance framework.
Translate Quality and business objectives into concrete, measurable action plans focused on the delivery of immediate performance improvements.
Diagnose workflow bottlenecks, deploy Lean and digital methodologies to streamline processes, and scale standardized tools, toolkits, and KPIs across chapters.
Lead high‑priority, cross‑functional root‑cause analyses to dismantle complex operational bottlenecks and ensure robust process confirmation.
Act as champion for mandated cultural shifts, integrating them into daily routines across all levels and providing hands‑on coaching and mentorship.
Support approximately 20% international travel, primarily to Europe.
Qualifications
Holding an MBA, Master’s in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in Operational Excellence, Manufacturing process improvement, or Management Consulting, with proven large‑scale program execution.
Advanced practical mastery of Lean principles combined with strategic thinking.
Strong track record combining Lean/OE with digital technologies such as AI, process automation, and advanced analytics.
Demonstrated excellence in leading matrixed, distributed teams and influencing executive stakeholders without direct authority.
Familiarity with Quality / GxP domain and exceptional communication, empathy, and relationship‑building skills.
Fluency in English required; German a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $148,568.00 – $194,995.50 (based on the primary location of Mississauga). Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.
