This role plays a critical role in shaping the bank's strategic direction and ensuring its long-term success. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the executive committee, this role leads the HR function to attract, develop, and retain top talent, align HR strategies with business objectives, and foster a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusivity.
Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the bank's goals and objectives. Collaborate with the CEO and executive committee to drive organizational transformation and growth.
Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the bank attracts and retains top talent. Implement effective onboarding, development, and performance management programs.
Compensation and Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and market trends.
Employee Relations and Engagement: Foster a positive work environment and employee engagement. Address and resolve employee concerns while promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion.
HR Policies and Compliance: Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures in partnership with the Parent Bank. Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Learning and Development: Identify training needs and implement programs for employee skill enhancement. Support leadership development initiatives.
Change Management: Lead HR initiatives related to organizational change and ensure smooth transitions and employee integration during periods of change.
HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR analytics to make data-driven decisions and measure HR effectiveness.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR budget effectively.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant HR experience.
Extensive HR leadership experience, ideally in the banking or financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with a track record of aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
