POSITION DETAILS:
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Vacancy: This posting is for an existing vacancy
Compensation: $60,000–$70,000, based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and present food consistently while maintaining the highest standards for quality and presentation within the events and banquets division
Execute menus for private events in alignment with guest expectations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and excellence at every stage of service
Oversee and assist with food production and plating across all service areas to ensure exceptional quality is maintained
Support monthly inventory counts for food, beverage, dry goods, and stock items
Assist with the onboarding, coaching, and training of new kitchen team members
Help maintain a positive kitchen culture by motivating team members, encouraging confidence and efficiency, and demonstrating the Company’s values
Participate in weekly team management meetings
Maintain a safe, clean, and health-conscious work environment
Complete other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards, including a valid Safe Food Handlers Certificate
Completion of post-secondary education in Culinary Arts
Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience within the food and/or hospitality industry
Able to work independently
Positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Culinary trade papers or Red Seal designation are considered an asset
