AGS is looking for a Handyman to join our dynamic organization.
JOB SUMMARY
The handyman (or handyperson) is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed below are not meant to be all-encompassing. As business needs change, this list may be adapted.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Paint, patch, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces
Maintain outdoor areas (e.g., gutters, fences, sidewalks, landscaping tasks)
Asphalt repairs
Assemble furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed
Minor repairs and renovations
Support inventory activities for capital equipment
Conduct inspections to identify repair or safety issues
Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain a clean work environment
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to use hand tools and power equipment safely
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and with support managing multiple tasks
Effective communication and customer service skills
Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field is an asset but not required
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing facility
Travel required between Cambridge and Oshawa plants
The role involves physical labor, lifting, climbing ladders, and working both indoors and outdoors.
