Job Summary
The Serpa Automotive Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Group Controller to join our growing team. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and compliance across our Serpa Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM SRT dealership and Serpa Motorsports, our Yamaha & Suzuki powersports and marine operation and proud 3‑Time Yamaha Elite Dealer.
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in finance/accounting, with the ability to manage financials across multiple dealership operations in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
Location of position is Aurora Ontario.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of finance/accounting experience (or equivalent knowledge of dealership operations).
Automotive and/or powersports dealership accounting experience an asset.
Experience with PBS and CDK a strong asset.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage priorities across multiple business units.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
Manage daily banking reconciliation across both dealership operations.
Prepare, analyze, and finalize monthly dealer financial statements for Serpa CDJR and Serpa Motorsports.
Monitor and review expense reports.
Post and maintain monthly standard entries.
Reconcile manufacturer rebates and incentive programs (Stellantis and Yamaha/Suzuki).
Support bank audits alongside departmental managers.
Process lien payouts and vehicle purchase payments.
Oversee floorplan reports; manage vehicle payoff processes with bank representatives.
Post deals for accurate commission and bonus calculations.
Provide consolidated financial insights and reporting to ownership and management across both stores.
Manage additional accounting duties as required.
