What you'll be doing Tending to gardens and natural areas: watering, weeding, trimming, and planting Assessing plant health and taking action to keep things thriving Planning and completing small landscaping projects Applying fertilizers and other garden care products as needed Operating gas-powered tools and equipment safely Keeping grounds tools clean and in working order Supporting the Maintenance team to keep the full property looking great Occasionally interacting with guests and helping them feel welcome outdoors What you bring A love of outdoor work and plant care Knowledge of plants and landscaping practices Experience in landscaping or grounds care (an asset) Physical strength and stamina for lifting, crouching, bending, twisting and spending and long hours on your feet A sharp eye for detail and pride in a job well done Self-motivation and the ability to manage tasks independently Reliability and good judgment Comfort working in all types of west coast weather A can-do, positive attitude Perks and benefits Staff discounts and associate hotel rates A friendly, inclusive workplace with fresh ocean air Black Rock Resort resides within the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ – Ucluelet First Nation traditional territory, of whose ancestral lands we work and play.
