We are looking for an experienced Green Roof & On-Structure Garden Installation Crew Leader to lead field operations, guide installation crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest level of quality. Your responsibilities will include: Lead daily field operations and direct installation crews Plan workflow, assign tasks, and maintain production goals Ensure projects meet company standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship Train, mentor, and support crew members while building future leaders Maintain safe rooftop work practices, including PPE and fall protection requirements Coordinate with Project Managers and Division Managers on project progress Complete daily field reports and communicate jobsite updates Manage tools, equipment, materials, vehicles, and overall jobsite organization Ensure installations are completed efficiently and professionally What We're Looking For The ideal candidate brings: 3+ years of experience in construction, landscaping, or green roof installation Previous crew leadership or field supervision experience Ability to manage daily production and motivate team members Strong understanding of jobsite safety and quality standards Valid driver's license with a clean driving record NYC SST 40-hour card (or ability to obtain within required timeframe) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, climb stairs, and work outdoors in different weather conditions Experience using digital reporting tools such as LMN and Google Workspace Preferred Qualifications Experience with any of the following is a plus: Green Roof Professional (GRP) certification NYC Scaffold User certification FDNY G-60 Torch Operator certification NY Flagger certification First Aid/CPR certification Forklift or aerial lift operation Bilingual English/Spanish skills Additional trade experience including: Carpentry Masonry Irrigation Pavers on pedestals Plumbing Low-voltage lighting Why New York Green Roofs?
