Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $50,000 - $55,000 / annual
Reporting to the Manager, Graphic Design, in this role you are responsible for developing innovative design and conceptual thinking that elevates and differentiates the Whitecaps FC brand. This is more than creating good looks, this is a commitment to build new experiences and create interactions with our fan-base through storytelling.
Role Responsibilities:
Interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling designs which are on brand with limited supervision from concept to final deliverable.
Design print and digital elements for marketing, sales, sponsorship, event, and soccer operations that will deepen the connection between our club and its fans
Ability to think laterally across all elements of the digital experiencebrand, marketing/experiential, and product/services.
Design updates and other graphic elements for all club websites
Collaborate with the marketing team to produce breakthrough and innovative content working closely and collaboratively with a variety of teams
Explore and develop upon latest trends and techniques specifically trends within the sports and entertainment sector
Ability to multi-task across several projects with tight timelines
Support matchday content as needed
Qualifications/Experience:
In addition to bringing a commitment to Vancouver Whitecaps FC vision and values, the ideal candidate will require a broad base of digital knowledge with degrees of demonstrated experience as follows:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Bachelors degree in graphic design, Animation, Art, Film Production, Digital Media, Marketing, or other industry-relevant majors is preferred
Demonstrated experience (portfolio) ranging from bringing creative concepts to life visually, to producing production-ready files for a variety of materials
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop Creative Suite
Proficiency and experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other related tools
Self-starter who works well in a team environment
Flexible schedule and ability to work unconventional hours including weekends and match nights

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is the longest-running professional soccer club in Canada and the United States. Since its inaugural season in 1974, the club has united generations of loyal fans in British Columbia and beyond. With academies in eight out of ten provinces, a network of partner clubs, and hundreds of camps and clinics every year, Whitecaps FC provide a foundation for Canadas soccer future.
