SRG is actively recruiting for a
General Superintendent
for upcoming construction projects across Saskatchewan. Projects typically include civil earthworks, concrete, mechanical, structural steel, and electrical scopes in remote and semi-remote environments. The General Superintendent is responsible for leading multi-discipline construction teams, including superintendents, general foremen, foremen, and trade personnel. This role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with schedule, scope, and budget
Supervise and support superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel
Coordinate daily and long-term work planning across multiple disciplines
Enforce OH&S standards and corporate safety policies
Conduct site safety inspections and safety meetings
Monitor productivity, manpower, equipment utilization, and sequencing
Manage subcontractor performance related to quality, safety, and schedule
Track progress and provide regular updates to project leadership
Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, and quality teams as required
Requirements
10+ years of construction experience with leadership roles on industrial, civil, or mining projects
Proven experience managing large crews and multi-discipline scopes
Strong background in civil earthworks, concrete, and general construction
Experience with budgeting, cost control, and contract oversight
Demonstrated strong computer skills, including proficiency with industry-standard software, data management tools, and digital communication platforms
Strong knowledge of Ontario OH&S regulations and industrial safety standards
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
Proficiency with digital reporting tools and construction management software
Ability to work in remote or rotational environments
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (including cannabis)
Leadership for Safety Excellence or equivalent certification preferred
