Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description This role involves supporting day-to-day warehouse and production operations by handling materials, preparing shipments, and assisting with continuous manufacturing flow. You will perform a variety of general labor tasks, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain a strong focus on safety while working on 12-hour continental shifts in a fast-paced, hot environment. Responsibilities Perform general warehouse duties, including loading and unloading trucks, palletizing, staging, and moving materials throughout the facility. Assist in shipping and receiving operations by ensuring accurate documentation, proper labeling, and safe handling of inbound and outbound materials. Pick, pack, and prepare materials for production lines and outbound shipments according to work orders and schedules. Support inventory cycle counts by helping to verify stock levels, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records. Assist with stock replenishment by moving materials to designated storage locations and production areas as needed. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with material movement to and from production lines to support a continuous and efficient manufacturing flow. Operate basic material handling equipment safely and efficiently, and support forklift operations as required and once trained. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards and reporting hazards or issues promptly. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping targets while adapting to changing priorities and workloads. Essential Skills Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments. Ability to perform general labor tasks such as packing, assembly, and material handling. Capability to lift 40 lbs or more on a regular basis and perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for 12-hour continental shifts. Ability to work 12-hour continental shifts, including days and nights as required. Comfort working in a hot environment that is not climate controlled. Basic experience with general production and material handling activities. Willingness to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines, including PPE requirements. Strong work ethic, dependability, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience is an asset, with the opportunity to receive forklift training while working as a general laborer. Experience working in hot, non-climate-controlled environments. Experience working 12-hour continental shifts. Overtime shifts are regularly available. You will initially work at a warehouse facility for approximately 1 to 3 weeks, with the potential to transition to another nearby production facility once access credentials are processed and space is available. The environment is hot and not climate controlled, so you should be comfortable working in elevated temperatures while wearing required personal protective equipment. The work involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
