**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** This role involves working on various production lines to support packaging, boxing, and general labour tasks across multiple product areas. You will handle repetitive production activities, operate basic machinery, and ensure products are prepared, packed, and boxed according to quality and safety standards. **Responsibilities** + Perform general labour duties on the production line, including packaging, packing, and boxing finished products. + Work on different production lines such as cakes, muffins, crumpets, cookies, bagels, and related baked goods as assigned. + Align trays, place cups, and organize products on trays to prepare them for baking or packaging. + Load and unload trays, particularly for bagels and other baked products, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently. + Operate production and packaging machinery as trained, following established procedures and safety guidelines. + Perform repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy to maintain production flow and product quality. + Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 30-50 lbs as required throughout the shift. + Conduct basic quality checks during packaging to ensure products meet company standards. + Box and label products correctly to support accurate shipping and inventory control. + Follow all health, safety, and cleanliness procedures while working in different plant environments. + Participate in cross-training to perform tasks in multiple plants and production areas as needed. + Support team members and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to maintain efficient operations. **Essential Skills** + Proven general production or general labour experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment. + Experience with packaging, packing, and boxing products on a production line. + Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift. + Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and consistency. + Comfort working in different production areas, including environments that may be warm or hot. + Willingness and ability to be cross-trained and work across multiple plants and product lines. + Basic machine operating skills for production and packaging equipment. + Reliability and strong work ethic to meet production targets and schedules. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a packaging operator is an asset. + Experience as a production line worker is an advantage. + Familiarity with quality assurance checks in a production or packaging setting. + Ability to adapt quickly to different tasks, products, and production lines. **Why Work Here?** You will join a supportive workplace that values employee well-being and recognition. The role primarily supports the cakes line for a new brownie product, but all employees must feel comfortable working in every area, as cross-training is standard. In Plant 1, you work with muffins in a non-hot environment, aligning trays, cupping, removing trays, and boxing products. In Plant 2, you focus on crumpets and related products in a non-hot environment, mainly packaging and boxing. In Plant 3, you handle cakes packaging, bagels, and English muffins in a hotter environment, loading and unloading trays and packaging cakes into boxes. In Plant 4, you work with cookies in a mildly hot environment, performing packaging, quality assurance, and boxing tasks.
