Job DescriptionJob Description We’re hiring a General Manager for House of McGrath, our exciting downtown Toronto restaurant and brewery. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience. As General Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, lead a dedicated team, and help shape the culture and success of a growing business. Key responsibilities Oversee front- and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth daily service. Lead scheduling, inventory, service flow, and team coordination. Monitor guest feedback and resolve issues quickly and professionally. Work closely with brewery operations to ensure seamless integration with restaurant service. Manage vendor relationships, ordering, and facilities maintenance. Build strong relationships with regulars, VIPs, and the local community. Maintain accurate records for health inspections, liquor license renewals, fire safety. compliance, and other operational requirements. Support hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on restaurant management experience; casual dining, pubs, or breweries strongly preferred. Valid SmartServe certification and FoodSafe certification. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills under pressure. Solid understanding of Toronto hospitality regulations and high-volume operations. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
