Job Description
WESPAC MECHANICAL LTD. is actively looking for a general manager urgently to provide a rewarding career with decent remuneration for long term.
Job Duties
Precisely plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate, the overall operations of HVAC company
Work in conjunction with the Owner to formulate strategic plans and budgeting decisions for the business and then implement such plans and decisions
Establish objectives for the business and team, and accordingly allocate material, human and financial resources to implement objectives, company policies, and programs
Carefully formulate policies which establish the direction to be taken by these companies
Represent the company to act on behalf of the company, in negotiations or other engagements such as city hall, clients, competitors, by-law officers, and WCB officers
Manage staff by hiring, allocating work, orienting and training, setting performance expectations, evaluating performance outcomes, rewarding and recognizing excellent work, and recommending wage changes, promotions, or transfers
Manage the finances including bank transactions, vendor transactions, customer payments for work performed, and credit card transactions for the business
Manage and prepare the financial reports, invoices, account receivable, accounts payable, and remittances to government of Canada for the business
Communicate regularly with staff members through individual and group meetings
Professionally managing client communications
Ensuring compliance with industry standards, by laws, safety standards, and workplace
Evaluating productivity and performance and implementing strategies for improvement
Promote, educate, and communicate effectively to customers on various HVAC options
Represent us in a professional, courteous and customer service-oriented manner
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
Employment requirements
A university degree or college diploma in engineering, business administration, commerce or other discipline related to the HVAC is required.
4-5 years of experience as a middle manager, office manager, or administrator in a construction or HVAC setting is required.
Knowledge of the Residential retail HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Home Performance Service repair, Maintenance and Replacement industry.
Class 5 valid driver’s license is an asset, but not mandatory
Excellent verbal and communication skills in English
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Must have outstanding customer service skills
Benefits
As per BC Employment Standards Act 4 % vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation or the option to get 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay on each pay period. 5 days of paid sick leave annual. 3 additional unpaid sick leave annual.
