Full-time Overnight Maintenance Crew Shift: Overnight hours, typically starting at 10:00 PM Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour Carpenter Enterprises (B.C.) Inc is an independently owned and operated franchise of McDonald's located in British Columbia. We are currently seeking a dependable Overnight Maintenance Team Member to help keep our restaurant clean, organized, and ready for the next day's operations. This full-time overnight position focuses primarily on back-of-house cleaning and maintenance, including the kitchen, equipment, crew areas, and stock rooms. Position Summary A typical shift in this role starts at 10:00 PM and is focused on detailed cleaning and resetting of the restaurant's back-of-house areas. Overnight maintenance team members are responsible for cleaning the kitchen and high-use equipment such as grills, fryers, the combo machine, and smoothie machine, along with maintaining the crew room, crew washrooms, and stock areas. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, is comfortable with hands-on cleaning tasks, and takes pride in preparing a clean, safe, and organized restaurant for the morning team. Key Responsibilities Start overnight shifts at approximately 10:00 PM and complete assigned back-of-house maintenance tasks Clean and maintain the kitchen, including floors, prep surfaces, and surrounding work areas Deep clean equipment such as grills, fryers, combo machines, smoothie machines, and other high-use restaurant equipment Maintain clean and organized crew rooms, crew washrooms, and stock areas Restock and organize supplies as needed to support the morning shift Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure back-of-house environment Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and maintenance tools safely and according to training Qualifications Ability to work independently and stay focused during overnight hours Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food-safe work areas Comfort working in a physically active role that includes cleaning, lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work late-night or overnight schedules Previous cleaning, janitorial, or kitchen maintenance experience is an asset but not required Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Overnight schedule with shifts typically starting at 10:00 PM, lasting 7 to 8 hours, 5 shifts per week Prolonged standing and walking Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, scrubbing, and repetitive cleaning tasks Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Exposure to heat, cleaning chemicals, kitchen equipment, and wet floors Fast-paced environment with a strong focus on sanitation, organization, and readiness for the next day Compensation & Workplace Commitment Starting wage of $20.00 per hour Eligibility for employee programs and discounts in accordance with company policy Access to training opportunities Safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace About us In 1954, an enterprising salesman named Ray Kroc discovered a small burger restaurant in California, and wrote the first page of McDonald's history.
