Position Details Location: Wetaskiwin, Alberta Position Type: Full-Time Schedule: 4 Days On, 4 Days Off Rotation Shift Times: 07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00 Alternating between days and nights every two weeks Training completed prior to your start date The Role Healthcare Security Guards play an important role in creating a safe and supportive environment for patients, visitors, healthcare professionals, and the community. This is a dynamic position where no two shifts are the same. You will use your communication skills, professionalism, and ability to remain calm under pressure to respond to a variety of situations while providing exceptional service and support. Key Responsibilities While duties may vary depending on the facility, responsibilities may include: Providing access control throughout the facility and monitoring restricted areas Conducting regular patrols of the healthcare facility and surrounding property Responding to alarms, emergencies, and requests for assistance Supporting healthcare staff during challenging situations Using communication and de-escalation skills to resolve conflicts safely Assisting patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and empathy Monitoring CCTV and security systems Identifying and reporting safety hazards, security concerns, and unusual activity Completing detailed incident reports and documentation Requirements Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Enjoys helping others and making a difference in their community Has strong communication and problem-solving skills Can remain professional and calm in stressful situations Works well independently and as part of a team Is comfortable working in a healthcare environment Benefits Why Join Paladin Security?
