Thompson Infrastructure LP is currently looking to fill an open position in the Service Department. This position requires a self-sufficient individual with experience operating and navigating trucks throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
At the conclusion of the season, employees will be offered opportunities to work at our Oil Sands project sites or may be subject to seasonal layoff based on operational requirements.
Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
Transport materials and equipment throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities.
Complete daily inspections and required documentation.
Plan routes efficiently and navigate urban and industrial environments.
Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting operational deadlines.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, equipment care, and customer service.
Support operations at Oil Sands projects when required.
Qualifications
Valid Class 3 Driver’s License.
Previous experience working in a similar field.
Demonstrated experience operating and navigating trucks within Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Strong knowledge of local roads, routes, and industrial locations.
Ability to work extended hours and adapt to changing operational demands.
Capable of working independently and managing daily responsibilities with limited supervision.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Working Conditions
Seasonal position with varying workloads throughout the year.
Current schedule is
6 days on, 1 day off.
Extended workdays may be required during peak operational periods.
The successful candidate must be willing to work extended hours as required and understand the seasonal nature of the position.
Successful applicants must be willing to travel to and work at Oil Sands project sites as required.
