Description
Our client is seeking a highly capable Freight Forwarder to manage North American LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) freight operations. This role is ideal for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and can independently oversee shipments from initial quotation through to final delivery with minimal oversight.
What You’ll Be Doing
Quote and execute LTL and FTL shipments across Canada and the United States
Book freight directly with carriers and agents
Manage all shipping documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Coordinate drayage, inland trucking, and warehousing activities
Proactively monitor shipments, manage exceptions, and resolve delays efficiently
Maintain strong, professional relationships with carriers and logistics partners
Provide accurate shipment visibility and communicate clearly and promptly with customers
What You Must Have
3–5+ years of freight forwarding experience
Direct, hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations
Proven ability to manage shipments end-to-end without supervision
Demonstrated experience quoting and booking North American LTL and FTL shipments
Strong attention to detail and operational execution skills
Highly self-directed with the ability to work independently
Preference for ownership and autonomy over people management
Calm, methodical approach with the ability to perform well in exception-driven environments
