Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Forklift Operator in a leading international distribution center located in Mississauga, supplying all of eastern Canada. This role primarily involves the breakdown and sorting of pallets, order picking, and handling shipments with precision and care. Expect a laborious yet rewarding environment where attention to detail is key. Responsibilities Break down and sort pallets efficiently. Perform order picking when the receiving area is slow. Lift up to 50lbs in the receiving area. Drive the reach truck for approximately 60% of the time and engage in general labor duties for the remaining 40%. Count incoming and outgoing shipments accurately. Essential Skills Proficiency in general labor tasks. Experience with forklift and reach truck operation. Capability to lift up to 50lbs. External reach truck license. Warehouse experience driving a reach truck. Additional Skills & Qualifications Attention to detail in counting shipments. Ability to work in a team environment. Work Environment Experience working in a large, well-lit, state-of-the-art warehouse with a team of 30, including front office staff. Utilize a spacious lunch room and gym within the building. Steel toe shoes are required, and vests and masks are provided. The work schedule is from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with orientation and health and safety training on the first day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mississauga, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
