Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Forklift Operator / Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description This role involves safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload stock within a warehouse environment, while supporting shipping and receiving activities and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will handle material movement, prepare orders for shipment, and perform basic computer tasks related to bills of lading and other documentation once fully trained. Responsibilities Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move stock throughout the warehouse. Load and unload trucks and other vehicles, ensuring products are handled with care and accuracy. Move stock around the warehouse to designated storage locations and staging areas. Support shipping and receiving activities, including checking incoming and outgoing stock against documentation. Prepare stock to be shipped out, including staging, wrapping, labeling, and organizing orders. Use RF scan guns to track inventory movement and maintain accurate inventory control. Handle material movement and inventory control tasks to keep the warehouse organized and efficient. Assist with completing bills of lading (BOLs) and related shipping documentation after receiving training. Use ERP systems, once trained, to support inventory, shipping, and receiving processes. Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work area. Essential Skills Minimum 2+ years of forklift experience in a warehouse or similar environment. Active and valid forklift license. Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift. Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading. Hands-on experience with inventory control and material handling. Ability to use RF scan guns for inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock and documentation. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with bills of lading (BOLs) is an asset. Experience using ERP systems to support warehouse or inventory operations is an asset. Comfort with basic computer work related to shipping, receiving, and documentation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within the warehouse. Work Environment This role is based in a brand new, smaller-scale warehouse that is very clean, bright, and well organized. The facility supports customers in Western Ontario and uses modern tools such as RF scan guns and ERP systems to manage inventory, shipping, and receiving. The position follows a straight day shift, working Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering a consistent schedule with no rotating shifts. You will work closely with a small team in a hands-on environment that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and clear communication, with standard warehouse attire suitable for material handling and forklift operation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
