Job DescriptionJob Description Forklift Operator Job Overview This role involves general warehouse work, including forklift operation, order picking, shipping and receiving, and assisting customers. You will handle a variety of materials and work both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Load and unload trucks, and organize incoming and outgoing materials Operate sit-down and reach forklifts safely Pick orders using paper lists and prepare them accurately Move and handle different types of materials and products Lift and carry items up to 60 lbs regularly Assist customers with locating and preparing orders Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Help with general warehouse tasks as needed Communicate clearly with team members Follow all safety procedures Requirements At least 1 year of warehouse experience At least 1 year of experience with heavy lifting Valid forklift certification (sit-down and reach) Experience operating forklifts and picking orders Ability to regularly lift up to 60 lbs Comfortable with physical, hands-on work Strong communication skills Reliable and dependable Willing to work overtime when required Nice to Have Familiarity with handling heavy or bulky materials Customer service experience in a warehouse setting Why Join Opportunity for long-term employment Potential for career growth and advancement Work with an experienced and supportive team Gain hands-on experience in a busy warehouse environment Work Environment Monday to Friday, daytime schedule Indoor warehouse with some outdoor work Physically active role with lifting and movement throughout the day Fast-paced setting requiring flexibility and adaptability Reliable transportation is preferred Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CALGARY, AB.
