Your future starts here.Letsbuild something extraordinary together Description of Position: Reporting to theSite Superintendent,the Forepersonwill play avitalrole inmanaging construction teams, maintaining a high standard of quality, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.This positionis responsible forsafety, trade management, material organization, quality, cleanliness, and removal or roadblocks to facilitatetheproject schedule. Theideal candidate willhavea strong work ethic, excellent communicationand interpersonalskills,a strong desire to learn, theability to perform strenuous physical labour,and a positive,responsible nature. Key Responsibilities: TheForepersonwillthrivein adynamic,fast-paced team environment, providingsupporttothe Troika Construction staff in multiple capacities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals. Provide leadership and mentorship to the construction crew, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. On-site assessment prior to new scopesofcommencing. Inspect and measure completed work. Hasgood knowledge of equipment operation. Supervise and optimize labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors on-site. Attend and participate in toolbox and safety committee meetings as scheduled. Participate in project closeout inspection process. Adhere to relevant safety regulations. Emphasize safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear and procedures. Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably. Regularlyreport project status to the Project Manager. Maintain all required reporting and logs as required. QualificationsandRequirements: Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings. A good understanding of Part3BC Building Code. Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and motivate crew while demonstrating team values and workethic. Proficient in Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint). Possess a general understanding of construction procedures, equipmentoperationand safety guidelines. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and people skills. Valid BC Class 5 licensewith a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. OFA Level2an asset. Experience using Procoresoftwarean asset. Red SealCarpenterCertification is an asset. Ticketed on skid steer, rough terrain forkliftandboom liftsisan asset. Personal Qualities: A team player who is willingto help outas neededto get the jobdone andis highly adaptable in work hours and workload management. Physical strength, stamina, and coordination to be able to perform required job tasks. Willing and able totake andfollow directions. Strong workethic, high standards, and personal accountability. Professional attitude and demeanor. Experience Required: 5+yearsofexperiencein a construction site leadership role. 5+ years of carpentry experience or a similar role. Experienceinmulti-family residential wood framebuildingsan asset. Rate of Pay: $70,000 to $100,000.(theactualwageofferedwill becommensurate with education and experience). The total compensation packageincludes: Extended HealthandDental, RRSP Matching (for eligible employees). Bonus of up to 10% ofbase salary, based on yearly KPI Performance.
