About the Opportunity
Provide leadership and daily coordination of dining room staff to ensure professional service, including during special events.
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching of dining staff.
Perform Server duties as needed and assist with food preparation and service delivery.
Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and compliance with policies and regulations.
Assist with catering services for internal and external functions.
Manage meal/beverage billing, client menus, diet slips, and meal count sheets.
Coordinate table reservations and event space bookings in collaboration with reception and management.
Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all dining areas.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and families to meet individual needs and resolve concerns.
Supervise workflow related to meal production, presentation, service, and clean-up.
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
High School Diploma or equivalent education, strong preference to those with post-secondary education in a related field;
Advanced proficiency in both French and English required;
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the food and beverage service industry;
Minimum three years’ experience in the food and beverage service industry
Previous experience in working with the elderly in long-term care or a seniors independent living environment an asset;
Previous supervisory experience an asset;
Availability to work Monday–Friday from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with a requirement to work every second weekend;
Personal computer skills in the use of related software applications;
A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
