JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:
Experience teaching in a junior high school setting, with knowledge in all curricular areas
Ability to program to a variety of levels for student's individualized needs
Monitoring Behaviour patterns of children and applying appropriate interventions.
An ability to develop, implement and monitor IPPs for students with cognitive disabilities
Proven ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Flexible team player who is able to adapt if needed.
Effective organization skills and classroom management.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining regular positive communications with parents.
Exhibit a strong work ethic.
Be a reflective practitioner.
Ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.
An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for students with additional needs.
Possesses a strong ability to create a classroom environment characterized by inclusion, equity, and differentiated instruction.
A base knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
Has demonstrated an ability to support and meet the needs of FNMI and EAL students in the classroom.
A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom
A commitment to continuous professional growth.
Knowledge of the Collaborative Response Model is an asset.
