Fleet Maintenance - Mechanic at The Erb Group — NeverHard

SUMMARY: To repair and service Erb Transport Limited equipment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Trailer Mechanic (Mobile Unit) Responsible for repairs on Erb’s equipment on a daily basis. Complete minor repairs on trailers or co-ordinate with Shop when necessary. When necessary, performs inspections and repairs on trucks and reefers. When necessary, assists the shop with repairs or could be assigned to a road call. Communicate with supervisor and dispatch regarding no-go equipment and assist with breakdowns via phone when required. Assist with building maintenance as required. Mondays: must complete proper inspection of the mobile unit, two service vehicles and the pick-up (engine, oil, tires, etc.). If repairs are necessary, the must be done immediately. Manage inventory of supplies of the mobile truck. Must respond to calls at all times. All other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Six (6) months of experience equivalent to the job description. DEP in mechanics (preferred) or previous experience as a car mechanic. In the process of obtaining a class 5 license. Licence not required but preferred. Accuracy, attention to detail and a team player. A positive attitude, dependable, on time for work, and responsible when clients or co-workers. Bilingual. Computer literate (Microsoft Office, TMT). Honest, diplomatic and trustworthy. Tool Box (a must).
